It's been a hard year, but 2021 is bright and full of new possibilities. Here at Las Casitas, we know that New Year's resolutions can be difficult to follow through, so we've put together some personal and apartment goals for you to try, as well as our predictions for home decor trends in 2021.

Personal Goals to Set for the Year

Start off this new year right with some personal goals to help combat the monotony of everyday life. We know it can be hard, so we suggest making sure you always try to take some time to yourself, even if it's just a few minutes a day. 2021 is an open book, so fill its pages with everything you want to see happen. Write that book, visit the Route 66 Museum or Mojave Narrows Regional Park. The world is your oyster, so do something great with it.

Apartment/Home Goals

Talking about being stuck at home, let's think about what we can do with our home. If you're working from home, try ensuring you have a separate work space, even if it's just a corner of the room you don't step foot in otherwise. Cozy is the name of the game, so add some cushions, warmth and color to the room you spend the most time in.

2021 Apartment Decor Trends

Open plan is out and cozy is in. That's right, snuggle up in your dressing gown and drink your hot cocoa. The trend is increasingly for warm, comfortable spaces separate from work or even eating areas. If you've got an open plan kitchen and living room, try erecting screens – not only do they keep everything separate, you can decorate them however you'd like.

Sometimes, everything can get to us, but there's no reason for that to stop you. Update your home to reflect the time you spend in it, so you can focus on the things that matter: you.
